Each time you access a file through your web browser, the browser caches it (stores it). In this way, the files (including any images on the page) do not have to be retrieved from the remote web site each time you click the Back or Forward buttons or revisit a page. If you've made changes to your website and you expected to see changes but didn't, try clearing your cache.
Also, from time to time, browser caches can become corrupted or damaged. When this happens you may see some odd behaviors like logins not working, certain pages won't work right (give an error) or elements on the page appear wrong or out of date. In these instances it is also a good idea to clear your cache. You can clear your cache at any time w/o hurting anything so better to be safe if you have any reason to suspect. The next time you visit a/the/whatever page again, your browser will just cache it again.
Instructions to clear the cache on:
Internet Explorer 7
1. From the Tools menu, select Delete Browsing History.... 2. Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click Delete files.... 3. Click Yes, and then click Close to exit.
